The legendary Villa Maryland, acclaimed as one of the most beautiful properties on the Côte d'Azur, has recently undergone a change of ownership, marking the beginning of a new era for this iconic Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat residence.

Villa Maryland - A real gem in the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat real estate landscape

This luxurious residence of over 2,500 sqm was built in 1904 by Arthur Wilson, a British banker close to King Edward VII. With over 30 rooms, including 18 bedrooms, it has always been synonymous with refinement on the peninsula.

With its landscaped gardens designed by the famous English architect, Harold Peto, it offers a luxuriant estate of over 40,000 square meters where nature and tranquility mingle.

Paul Allen, one of the two visionaries behind the creation of Microsoft, undertook ambitious renovations in 2008, just after acquiring the property. He breathed new life into this iconic villa. Since Paul Allen's death in 2018, the sale of Villa Maryland had been pending. The transfer of the property was finally able to take place after certain constraints linked to Mr Allen's estate.
